  • Updated

Didn’t receive an Interac e-Transfer®?

Most transfers will be received within 30 minutes after they are sent. If you were expecting an Interac e-Transfers® but didn’t receive it, check for these common issues.

Weak internet connection

A weak internet connection (for either the sender or the recipient) can cause delays. Try to find a stronger internet connection and check again.

Typos with the phone or email

If there is a typo in the email address or phone number, then the Interac e-Transfers® won’t be received. Cancel the Interac e-Transfer® and re-send to the correct phone or email.

Security reviews for large transfers

Large amounts sent through Interac e-Transfer® may require a security review. The Interac e-Transfer® will be held by the sender’s financial institution until the review is completed.

Hold of an incoming Interac e-Transfer®

If you are expecting a large Interac e-Transfer® but haven’t received it yet, ask the sender to contact their financial institution for more information. The Interac e-Transfer® may be held by the sender’s financial institution.

Hold of an outgoing Interac e-Transfer®

If you sent a large Interac e-Transfer® but the recipient didn’t receive it, check for an email from Neo with instructions to approve the transfer.

If an Interac e-Transfers® requires a security review, it will be held by the sender’s financial institution. Neo will email you if there is a security review of any outgoing Interac e-Transfers®.
