If you have sent an Interac e-Transfer® request and the transfer doesn’t deposit into the contact’s (recipient) account, Neo will automatically refund the amount to your Neo Everyday account.
Expired Interac e-Transfer requests
When you send an Interac e-Transfer to a contact, the recipient has 30 days to accept the transfer before it expires. If the transfers expires, Neo will automatically refund the amount to your Neo Everyday account.
Declined Interac e-Transfer requests
If you send an Interac e-Transfer to a contact, the recipient declines the transfer, Neo will automatically refund the amount to your Neo Everyday account.
Common reasons for Interac e-Transfer refunds
Neo may refund your Neo Everyday account for sent Interac e-Transfer requests. Here are some common reasons:
- Transfer cancelled in the Neo app or website
- Transfer declined by the contact (recipient)
- Security question was answered incorrectly by the contact (recipient)
- Transfer expired after 30 days
