What to do if an account holder passes away?

Guidance on the steps to take if a Neo Financial account holder has passed away.

In the event that a customer passes away, we will require some documents and information to proceed.

You can give us a call at 819-410-1060 between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. MT and a Specialist can assist you.

Required documentation

To complete verification and close an account, we’ll ask for some documents.

To begin the account closure process, you will need the following:

  • A scanned copy of the full front and back of your government-issued ID

  • Notarized proof of death

Documentation requirements aren’t limited to this. It’s likely additional documents will be requested.
