Use Apple Pay or Google Pay to make safe and convenient purchases of up to $250 using your smartphone. Most merchants allow contactless purchases up to this limit, but some may have a lower tap limit. Your purchase can't exceed the $250 tap limit. If your purchase is more than the tap limit, use your physical card.
To add a card to your mobile wallet, open the Neo app, select your card, and choose Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet.
Add a card to Apple Wallet
Get the Apple Wallet app from the App Store to add your card to Apple Wallet, if you don’t have the app on your device.
From the Neo app
- Log in to the Neo app
- In the Accounts tab, select All
- Select your account, tap Card, and then tap Manage
- Tap Add to Apple Wallet and follow the instructions
From the Apple Wallet app
- Tap Add +
- Select Debit or Credit Card
- Tap Continue
- Scan (or input manually) the card details and follow the instructions
If you have any issues adding your card through the Apple Wallet app, remove the card from your Apple Wallet and try adding your card from the Neo app instead.
Add a card to Google Wallet
Get the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store to add your card to Google Wallet, if you don’t have the app on your device.
From the Neo app
- Log in to the Neo app
- In the Accounts tab, select All
- Select your account, tap Card, and then tap Manage
- Tap Add to Google Pay and follow the instructions
From the Google Wallet app
- Tap Add to Wallet +
- Select New credit or debit card
- Scan (or manually input) the card details
- Tap Save and continue and follow the instructions
If you have any issues adding your card through the Google Wallet app, remove the card from your Google Wallet and try adding your card from the Neo app instead.
After you add a card to Google Wallet, you may be charged a small amount to verify your card. The verification transaction will come from Google, and it will disappear shortly and won’t contribute to your total balance.
Pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay
To use Apple Pay or Google Pay, use your device to tap for purchases up to $250. For transactions exceeding $250, use your physical card.
Troubleshoot issues with your mobile wallet
If you can’t add your card to your mobile wallet, then remove the card from the mobile wallet and try again from the Neo app (not from the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet app). Here are some reasons why you may not be able to add your card to your mobile wallet:
Your card is frozen
If your card is frozen, then unfreeze your card before adding your card to the mobile wallet.
Your Neo app needs updating
Go to your device settings to install any pending software updates. After installing the pending updates, try to add the card to your mobile wallet again from the Neo app.
Incorrect card details
Double-check the correct card details are captured when you add the card from Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. If you prefer, you can also add the card from the Neo app.
Card reached the maximum device limit
You can’t add the card to more than 10 devices (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet). Remove the card from one of the current devices before you try to add the card to your mobile wallet again.

Other wallet apps aren’t supported
You can’t add the card to any other digital wallet other than Apple Wallet or Google Wallet at this time.
Country or region doesn't support mobile wallets
You can’t add your card to a mobile wallet from a country where Apple Pay or Google Pay is not available due to country or region limitations.
