If you've subscribed to Travel perks, you need to set it up before you can start using them.
To use travel insurance, subscribe to Travel perk before making eligible travel-related purchases, and maintain the Travel perk subscription throughout your trip to submit travel insurance claims.
The Travel perks is not available in Quebec.
Priority Pass membership
You’ll have Priority Pass standard membership that allows you to pay exclusive member visit fees to access an airport lounge per visit.
To use the Priority Pass membership, activate your Priority Pass account. You’ll receive instructions to your email when you subscribe to the Travel perk, or you can find instructions in the Priority Pass membership article.
SmartDelay
After you register your flight, SmartDelay gives you complimentary access to airport lounges if your flight is delayed by one hour or more.
Register your flight
You’ll receive a SmartDelay ID via email after you’ve added Travel perks to your card.
- Go to SmartDelay
- Enter your SmartDelay ID
- Select Start Registration, and follow the instructions to register your flight details
Register your flight details with SmartDelay at least 24 hours before your departure to make the flight eligible for a complimentary airport lounge visit.
Travel insurance coverage
Travel perks offer emergency travel medical aid, flight delays, car rental protection, and trip cancellations. Explore the insurance documents to understand coverage details, exclusions, and steps to submit a claim.
Use your card for travel purchases
Before you can make any eligible travel purchases, such as booking flights, renting a car, or reserving a hotel, you must have a subscribed Travel perk and continue to maintain the subscription throughout your trip.
If you subscribe to Travel perks after making a purchase on your card or cancel the subscription before the trip's completion, then you will not be able to submit a claim.
Submit a travel insurance claim
All claims must be reported to 1 (888) 552-3236 within 48 hours of any loss occurring. You’ll be provided with further instructions to submit a travel insurance claim.

When you're subscribed to Travel perks, you can earn cashback when you pay in a foreign currency using your card. You won’t receive any cashback if you pay in Canadian Dollars or if you withdraw cash from an ATM abroad.
