Neo products applications might not be approved immediately and may need a review. Our team will review your application to confirm any details or additional documents needed from you. We'll let you know when you apply if your application needs to be reviewed, we'll send you email updates.

What to do when your application is under review

If your application is under review, expect an email update about your application. Most applications are reviewed quickly.

Provide additional documents

You may be asked to provide additional information or documents. For example, we may need new pictures of your photo ID if the original photo is blurry.

Common documents that we may request include:

  • Photos of the same ID you applied with
  • Photos of a secondary ID
  • Proof of your address, such as a utility bill or bank statement

We'll send any document requests to your email with the full details.

After your application is reviewed

You’ll receive an email after your application is reviewed. You can then finish the final steps of your application.

  1. Log in to the Neo app on your mobile device
  2. Look for your application in progress and tap Continue
  3. Read and accept the terms and conditions

Web

  1. Go to member.neofinancial.com and log in to your account
  2. Look for your application in progress and click on Continue
  3. Read and accept the terms and conditions

Reasons an application is declined

Some reasons an application might be declined include:

  • A VPN was used during the application
  • The minimum age requirement wasn’t met
  • For credit reasons

The most common reason that credit card applications are declined is due to poor credit history. If you were declined for a credit card, we recommend exploring secured credit cards and working to build your credit score.
