Pending transactions

  • Updated

A pending transaction is one that's been authorized using your card but hasn't been settled yet.

Why is my transaction pending?

Pending transactions have been authorized on your card but not processed. Once a settlement is received your transaction is either posted or reversed.

If the transaction is posted, it will reflect on your next statement.

If reversed, the transaction will no longer show in your transaction history and you will not be charged.

Your pending transactions can impact your available funds.

How long does a transaction stay pending?

Usually a pending transaction is posted between 1 to 3 business days.

If a pending charge is not settled within 30 days after the transaction is made, the transaction will expire and you will not be charged in this situation.

Deposits with car rentals and hotels can stay pending for up to 30 days.

A pending transaction can’t be disputed because it hasn’t been settled.
